I am reading Sin in the Second City and I have to recommend it to anyone who is involved in the profession . Its a very detailed and intimate story ( true )about the Everleigh sisters and the club they ran.It is a turn of the century story of the two sisters who migrated to Chicago and attracted other cities of the world welcoming men to glamorous chambers before Capone's time. The author is Karen Abbot. Im only early in the first few chapters and I must admit this book has changed me a bit after reading how women were
back then and how far we have come. There is a bit of history in any profession and this book does point out the history in detail to remind us of how far we have come as more professional then ever.It takes you back in time to even popular department store owners and their own involvment with the hobbie. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys true history , especially a history that we we can relate to
